Ponca City Library

Our Organization

The Ponca City Library is a department of the City of Ponca City. In 1904, the citizens of Ponca City envisioned a future of public library service for our community. In 1989, the community recommitted itself through an extensive library expansion and renovation project. In 2004, we celebrated 100 years of library service.

Our Vision

We will serve our community as a guide to the world of information, a source of leisure materials, and a supporter of lifelong learning.

Our Mission Statement

A unique community facility, the library exists to meet the informational needs of the Community. To accomplish this we will:

• Provide contemporary and classic high demand, popular materials
• Provide a well-trained, courteous staff
• Maintain a safe, accessible and welcoming environment
• Support lifelong learning and the enrichment of personal leisure time
• Provide equal service to all customers
