Free Special Programs
All of the Ponca City Library programs are free. Because of limited space, some have sign-up sheets. Please check with the children’s librarian or clerks to see if you need to sign up in advance. These programs are sponsored by Friends of the Ponca City Library and the City of Ponca City with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council.

Let It Snow Story Time (for 3 – 6 year olds)
January 12 – February 25
Story times: Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
Children sign up for a six week program in which they come for one hour a week for stories, movement to music, and an art project led by a Librarian who has degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Librarianship: and has taught Kindergarten and Preschool.
Free Movies on the Big Screen
The Library generally has a free movie on the big screen in the program room on the lower level on Thursdays. In the fall and winter, it will start at 3:30 p.m. Please look for the in-house movie bookmark for upcoming movies.
Bird Buddies
A free mentoring program in the skills of bird watching, that usually involves a field trip on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The program involves several activities that help children earn scout badges. For this free parent and child activity, please look for the brochure of events.
